Fifteen consecutive copper lamps

Artistic value: Exquisite design, exquisite production techniques, coexistence of humans, monkeys, birds, and dragons, unique ideas, full of wit and humor, the entire composition pays attention to symmetry, and fifteen lamps are interspersed and arranged in various shapes, making it a masterpiece among lamps and reflecting the superb artistic level of the Warring States period.
Scientific value: Craftsmen ingeniously arranged 15 lamp plates in a staggered manner according to height, forming a circular large-area light source centered on the lamp post, which not only eliminated the umbra but also expanded the lighting space. It is almost the same as the principle of modern shadowless lamps and is the earliest prototype of shadowless lamps in China.
Historical value: It provides important physical materials for studying the history, culture, art, life, and other aspects of Zhongshan State during the Warring States period, reflecting the social style and people’s aesthetic concepts from one aspect.
