Sword of Goujian

Cultural Relic Status: A first-class cultural relic in China, it was included in the “Third Batch of Prohibited Exhibition Cultural Relics Catalogue” on August 19, 2013, and enjoys the reputation of “the world’s first sword” and “the king of bronze swords”.

Size and weight: length 55.7 centimeters, handle length 8.4 centimeters, sword width 4.6 centimeters, weight 875 grams.
Sword body decoration: mainly black diamond shaped geometric dark grid pattern, with beast face pattern cast on the front of the sword frame, inlaid with blue glass; The back of the sword frame is cast with cloud patterns and inlaid with turquoise It is disc-shaped and rolled outward into a hoop shape, with 11 concentric circles cast inside at intervals of only 0.2 millimeters.
Sword hilt decoration: Wrapped with a silk rope and engraved with three rings, the sword hilt is engraved with eight gold-plated bird seal script inscriptions that read “Yue Wang Jiu Qian, Self used Jue” or “Yue Wang Goujian, Self used Sword”.
